Our dog is happy and so are we! This was the first time ever going to Oak Animal Hospital. We adjustment to the area and was looking for a real vet. We went to Petco and wasn't impressed. So we needed to find somewhere for our German Shepherd. When we walked in with a smile and felt like this place could be good. The staff was very helpful thoughtful and made us feel right at home. I am so glad that we found them on yelp. They live up to all of the standards of the five and four star ratings that I saw on the reviews. Dr. Allison Inlow, was really good with our dog Cannoli. She was very gentle with him and had a lot of good recommendations and tips for his teeth as well as his dietary needs. Something most places don't really get into as much I noticed. We are definitely now part of the Oak Animal Hospital family. Thank you so much for everything. Looking forward to having a good future with this hospital and our four-legged baby.
I recently wrote a review of Oak Animal Hospital in early August stating they were a five star veterinary service. I trusted the two vets that I thought were doing everything they could for my sick dog. Unfortunately they concentrated on her low red blood cell count and ignored her 'slightly elevated' kidney numbers. For two months it was blood test after blood test watching her RBC count continue to drop while all along her kidney numbers were climbing unnoticed. By the time I took her to the emergency hospital they said her kidney numbers were off the chart, she was in end-stage kidney failure and they were unable to save her. I believe if my vets had watched her kidney numbers as well as her RBC count early, medication and diet could have prolonged my dogs life. I am devastated and having difficulty moving on without her. Please check out your vet very carefully. Check the reviews on their websites and also get recommendations from people that are happy with their vets.
Update to prior reviews on Yelp: Dr Chen and Dr K are continuing the excellent service and care. Recently I bought in our 6 year old Shih Tzu when she suddenly became ill. The competent intervention saved my dog from certain death. From the front desk to the doctor assessment, they are the best in town!!
