I've had Kaiser for over 40 years and it was great until today. I had a receptionist be combative and rude to me when I asked another person for an update for the wait time in the ED. I was there for well over two hours in severe pain and vomiting in the waiting room due to the pain. This female receptionist angrily and loudly inserted herself into the conversation I was having with the other receptionist. I was shocked that she would quickly escalate like that when I wasn't speaking to her. A really bad face for your organization Kaiser. I was polite I had simply asked for an update on the wait time. If you want immediate service for a sprained ankle, wear an ER Department T-shirt. If you're 80+ in obvious agony, must wait. I just walked out. They yelled I needed to sign a AMA form before leaving. I'll leave my response to your imagination... read full review
My surgeon Dr. Mok is no longer employed at Kaiser, so I was given an appointment with the arrogant and dismissive Dr. Steven Schule. I received no help from Dr. Schule, in fact he was less than honest in his statements. Dr. Mok told me, when I saw him a year after my hip replacement, that I would be able to cross me leg in time. He never said not to cross my leg. It is now almost three years since my surgery and I still cannot cross my leg, without help from my arms. All my friends, in my age group, have been able to cross their legs after healing. Physical Therapy said not to cross my leg for 6 to 8 weeks after surgery.
