I had a fantastic experience at this gym. The staff members were all incredibly friendly and approachable. The gym itself was spotless, creating a comfortable environment. The trainers were not only knowledgeable but also very courteous in their approach. As someone who values fitness, I found it to be a top-notch facility. In my opinion, this gym is a definite must-visit if you're in the area.
I've been a member here for a couple of weeks and have been waiting to write a review but wanted to give it time to see if my excitement would wear off which it hasn't. I've been a member of countless gyms/studios over the year (mainly in NYC) and have tried out all the fads. TMF is the real deal! What attracted me to TMF was their Pilates classes. As a previous competitive marathon runner, I know nothing about Pilates but after two hard pregnancies, I was advised to do spin and Pilates classes as part of my rehab. I initially visited the studio and was greeted by one of the owners, Jon. Jon took the time to walk me through the studio, explain how their studio worked, and answered all my questions. The facilities are beautiful and the equipment is top notch. The spin studio has a huge screen where you follow along riding different scenes each class (super helpful for motivation!!). The Pilates machines look beautiful and are in excellent condition. He gave me his card with his number on it for any additional questions. I texted him numerous times and he responded very quickly. After I decided to move forward, he offered to sign me up after I put my kids to bed (8pm) which is well after business hours. There are quite a few membership options- class packs, drop ins, a limited membership, and an unlimited membership. I opted for the unlimited membership and am so happy I did!! They use the mind body platform. After I joined, Jon did a consultation with me in the Pilates studio and showed me how to use the equipment followed by a tailored workout for my needs. The following day, the other owner Holly did the body composition with me, sat down to explain my results, and also explained how she is available for nutritional support either through challenges they run or one on one. I will be signing up for sure!! They even offer premade meals that can be picked up from their fridge. I just picked up the chili and super excited to try it! So far, I've done the cycle, Pilates, core, and restorative yoga classes. They have a ton more classes (cardio, boxing, etc) but I have yet to be cleared for all of those by my PT. Each class was amazing with great energy! The instructors were all absolutely fantastic, kind, helpful, and class sizes were not too big. The class times are also ideal for those working or moms. They have a ton of classes from 5-8am and a handful after 4pm. They also have a bunch of virtual classes (I have yet to try one since the instructor times work well for me) all throughout the day. If you are on the fence, give them a try! You won't be sorry!
I love Tahoe Mountain Fitness! The instructors and classes are just what I need to build strength and endurance. Holly Hust is the very best fitness instructor. I love Pilates and Holly teaches such a balanced class that flows really well. Good stretching mixed with core and arm and leg strength building. Holly encourages you to push yourself but never judges where you are.
