I had been having trouble finding a stylist who was proficient with short pixies/ mens cuts (and I didn't want to go to a barbershop), so I am really glad I booked with Katy because she nailed it! This is also the only salon in town I know of that will do vivid and fun hair colors, so that's a huge bonus for those of us who like to do something a little wild every now and then.“

I adored my old stylist, but traveling back to the city to do my hair was not an option with my intense work schedule. So, I did my research by asking a few longtime locals and scouring reviews, and decided to try Alana at Lumiere. I feel like I hit the hair jackpot! Alana is so incredibly talented and gets my highlights just right, especially on my stubborn-to-highlight hair. She really listened to my needs and made sure they were respected. And, she's a lovely person - easy to talk to and so knowledgeable. It's clear that owning a salon and being a stylist are not just a job for her, it's a calling. I am generally pretty minimalist when it comes to my makeup, and after I shared this with Emma at my trial appointment, she created the perfect simple but glam look that I was hoping for. She also constructed the romantic loose updo of my dreams! On the day of my wedding, she went above and beyond - she spent so much time perfecting the look, and I really enjoyed the experience. The results were incredible, and somehow even better than the trial - Emma is clearly an artist when it comes to both hair and makeup. “I have very fine, very straight hair that does not hold curl well, and can look flat. I just started going to Mane Attraction and I could not be happier. Melody, the owner is amazing. My hair responds beautifully to the way she cuts the ends. It actually makes my hair curl under, giving it more volume. She also showed me some tricks with some spray mousse that adds some hold and lift without weighing it down. I highly recommend Mane Attraction and Melody.“

“Shelly was wonderful to work with! My daughter has beautiful long and full hair, but it was hard to manage and damaged, and she was never taught how to style it. Shelly started by explaining the types of styles for long hair and the amount of care each one needed. Then, relating to my daughter at this age, she recommended going with a more simple-to-manage style with subtle layers that would help thin the hair. She trimmed and shaped it, then showed and explained how to dry and style her hair.Wow! It looks great, and my daughter loves it! Best of all, she has renewed confidence in her appearance!
