Actually, this is one of the best medical groups in Los Angeles, In terms, of the quality of care given I must rate them ten stars. This medical group is better than Kaiser Permanents in terms of medical care and service. My NP H.Lee sent out for testing and found out I had a kidney stone. The following day she sent me to get a Cat scan than scheduled to have it removed within a week. When you schedule an appointment. You do not have to wait countless hours. All appointments schedule the patient is seen on time. Oh, the new name is Providence Axminister Group. I would not choose any other group but this one.
If it wasn't for doctor Jennifer Chu, I'd still be living life in pain and not knowing I have cancer. I am so thankful I was able to find such a caring and compassionate doctor!! I cannot speak more highly of her. If she was 3 hours away, I would still make the drive to her. Even in LA traffic!!! Finding a good doctor who cares like she does is worth it! I need to sing her praises anywhere and everywhere. I LOVE DOCTOR CHU FOR SAVING MY LIFE!!! Since about a month before I gave birth I had this crippling pelvic pain. It was excruciating and consistant. It felt like a bone was being bent trying to break. I could barely lift my left leg, I had trouble getting up to pee, I couldn't walk, I couldn't roll over...it was hella bad. I went to labor and delivery multiple times but they thought that maybe my baby's head was on a nerve and that it should go away after birth. Well, I gave birth and had to switch doctors bc of new insurance. I went to a local PCP to try to address the pain. He sent me to a horrible OB who said she saw 2 vericose veins on my vagina. The PCP dismissed my pain and told me that no insurance would ever cover it because vericose vein removal is cosmetic. I tried to argue and he turned me down each time and said he would help me cope with the pain. I obviously ditched that PCP and someone reccomend Dr. Chu. Even though I live in Monterey Park I so desperately wanted a doctor that cared. I was willing to drive to Torrance to find one! Dr. Chu didn't see any vericose veins but believed me and was very concerned with my pain so she got me to a physical therapist and a vein doctor. I went to the vein doctor and he got me an MRI done. He was shocked to find that I have multiple enlarged lymph nodes in my pelvis and groin. We did a biopsy and they found cancer. My oncologist is sure that this is what is causing my pain. I was living with this pain for over 7 months when I found Dr. Chu. 8 months they found cancer and now I just hit 9 months and getting the treatment I need. All it takes is for one doctor to be compassionate and caring for you to get the help you need. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for listening to me, caring and believing me about my pain even though there was no evidence of pain. Matter of fact, click my name. This review is for Dr. Mia Sanders Madati, who delivered my daughter at Little Company of Mary in Torrance. She was slow to come to my bedside to check my cervix during various points while I was in labor. She would tell me that she would come at 11pm, but wouldn't come until closer to 11:45. Once the baby started crowning, the nurse who was helping me to push literally had to tell me to hold the baby, while we waited 10 minutes for her to arrive to my bedside. As any woman who has every had to deliver a baby vaginally, every minute feels like eternity. Then when the baby came, instead of putting the baby immediately on me, she took her sweet little time cleaning off the baby's face and body, when all I wanted was the baby to be on me. I had no problem with the office visits I had as part of the prenatal care I received, and obviously you don't have a choice of who delivers you, since the group takes call for each other (unless you have a C-section), but if I could do it again, I wish I could have had someone else deliver my baby besides Dr. Sanders Madati.
