Dr Mayeda is amazing!! I've been coming to this office for about 2.5 years and the staff there is amazing. I'm always happy with the service and the ability to get my eye exam done, ask all questions and view frames all in a timely manner. My son had his first eye exam w Dr Mayeda and loved it. This is by far the best optometrist in the Torrance/Gardena area. I wanted new frames and the staff was very informative about what my insurance would cover and how it worked. I chose some really nice Tom Ford frames that I just couldn't resist. Dr. Chad Shimazaki and the staff at North Torrance Optometry have always been courteous and professional with my eye care. Dr. Chad does a thorough job checking my vision and eyes, and patiently answers questions and gives excellent referrals for specialists. I highly recommend North Torrance Optometry for their high quality of care.

Great doctor. Recently my vision had worsened for distance vision and for the first time, I needed a reading correction. I did get new glasses for my new prescription but I was confused as to what my reading glasses prescription was. The doctor was kind enough to give me a follow up appointment for no additional charge to double check my reading prescription and explain a few things to me about my eyesight. I would say this doctor is definitely an upgrade from when I used to go to Target Optical.
