I've been coming to Crenshaw Hair & Nails for about 4 or 5 years now before the rename and was formerly known as Mona's Hair. It is located in the a plaza between other businesses along Crenshaw Blvd. (Just before Lomita Blvd). Small and quaint setup, nothing too fancy but they get the job done. Sylvia and Mimi are my girls who take such good care of me. Even my friends that I bring come out as happy customers. Both nail technicians do a great job at giving a clean pedicure that last for longer than usual (mine usually lasts for about 3-4 weeks until I have to go back in). The selection in nail polishes are good, she was a wide variety of colors and especially in the OPI and Essie collection. Sylvia takes walk-ins but I usually call in ahead of time just to make sure I have a spot with either technician. If you are ever in the Torrance area, you should check this place out and contact Sylvia or Mimi for your mani or pedi needs!

I'm so happy I found this place. Great price and great service and it's just around the corner from my work. The lady who took care of me (who does not want me to say her name, because she is bashful, but she is named after a cafe) is really sweet and does a great job. My nails lasted much longer than "the other place". Highly recommend this place!

This place is super great. I was recommended to this place by my friend. Sylvia is a perfectionist. She told me to come by at 6:30pm, which I did. Note that the place closes at 7pm. I waited for maybe 10 minutes while she finished up with someone else, and then she started on my hair. I didn't leave till about 7:30pm and she only charged me $25! She stood there snipping away the most microscopic pieces of flyaway hair I had while we chatted away in Cantonese (we have similar family backgrounds). It looked great afterwards!! The exact length I wanted, which never happens because everyone just ends up cutting it an extra inch or two, and the style I wanted. Too bad I ruined it after washing my hair, sleeping in it overnight and waking up with a ball of poof on my head. I actually really wanted to get my nails done too, but since it was already past closing, I held off. I think I'll just get an earlier appointment for my hair next time and get my nails done afterwards.
