I found her through good old-fashioned internet research. And I'm so happy I did. I was looking for a good facial for my sensitive skin, and I found so much more: a true artist.An appointment with Leila is a curated experience that begins well before your appointment time. I knew Leila was serious when she asked me about my skin before my first appointment and requested close-up photos. As a lifelong eczema sufferer obsessed with skincare, I appreciated her sincere interest in my skin. When I arrived at her office, I settled in for a botanical journey that left my face feeling and looking the best it's ever been. No joke.Leila comes from generations of artisan-aestheticians who are passionate, meticulous and conscientious about wholesome and effective skin care. Her cleansers, moisturizers and other potions are lovingly prepared beforehand based on each individual client's skin-- from homegrown ingredients, as well as those derived from hard-to-access sources. When I arrived at my first appointment, she had an array of items to apply to my face, all custom-made for my skin. For each layer, Leila explained what she was applying and how it worked. I truly enjoyed hearing about the benefits of the ingredients, and I even enjoyed how tasty some of them were haha (like the chocolate and coffee mask).I think it's important for Leila to educate her clients, in addition to treating them, and her passion for improving her clients' skincare is genuine. You can see it on her face while she's working on yours. Leila was like a painter, painting my skin with her palette of goodness, then stepping back to admire her work and do touch-ups.After my facial, Leila offered some products that would be well-suited for my skin, a couple of which I gladly purchased since they aren't available elsewhere. (Due to the freshness and integrity of her products, they aren't offered online since she can't guarantee quality control. But I believe she will make a certain product to order, upon request.).Since that first appointment, I have been back to Leila numerous times, and I have sent my parents and boyfriend to her as well. For me, a visit with Leila is a truly rejuvenating experience in so many ways. She's an artist, a therapist, a wellness expert, a friend. It's taken me this long to write a review... which I felt I've owed her for awhile. Perhaps subconsciously, I wanted to keep her a secret? Seriously, though... I would never be that selfish with a gift like Leila. Deep down, I know it's because I wanted to take my time to articulate how special Leila and her art is. “Came here to get my lashes done before a vacay! I used to get them done back in the day but it's been a minute so I was extra extra excited!I wasn't able to get an appointment with Ashley but it's all good, I made it last minute because life.There is a lot of parking, I was worried about being towed based on the signs but the girls said they don't give out tickets and I didn't get one so yay! Overall I was happy with my lashes. There was a little lack of hospitality and wish that there was maybe music playing or something lol but my lashes did great in the Maui waters so cheers to that!“
