Dr. Jeremy is the real deal. I strongly encourage any Thousand Oaks / Ventura County residents currently seeking care to read this review, in the hopes that I can save you time and direct you towards Dr. Jeremy - a Chiropractor worth his weight in gold. I've been a chiropractic patient for the past 6 years, seeking relief for the chronic, often debilitating neck, back, and shoulder pain that had plagued me since my teenage years. I spent 4 of those years in hopeless frustration, naively wasting money (often out of pocket) on negligent doctors who treated their patients more like cattle than people. Pro tip: if a Chiropractor offers a hands-on neck adjustment without an X-ray, WALK OUT OF THERE IMMEDIATELY. Unfortunately (and many Chiropractors will admit this) the field has far too many bad apples who ultimately exacerbate their patients' issues. But Chiropractic care can and DOES permanently fix people's problems. After years of suffering, I fixed mine. That's why it is SO important to find the right practitioner, because it takes a legit Dr. to get legit results! Here's why Dr. Jeremy Subadya is right for me, and why I believe he'll be right for you. For one, he practices Upper Cervical care - which is, in my humble patient's opinion, by far the most effective method for short-term and long-term spinal healing. Adjustments with this method don't have any loud pops, you don't feel anything being jammed back into place - and that is a VERY good thing. It is a method based upon precision and geometric alignment which treats the neck vertebrae first and foremost. As it turns out, fixing the neck fixes way more problems in the rest of the body than most people realize. A visit to Dr. Jeremy's is like stepping into a Star Trek medical room. He determines your alignment (or lack thereof) through a digitized muscle tension graph and sets the adjustment angle with a friggin' laser. The process is thorough and intentional, and he takes plenty of time to determine exactly what needs to be adjusted. I've never felt more at ease in a Chiropractic office before. Beyond that, Dr. Jeremy is a really cool dude. Down to earth, extremely understanding and empathetic, and more than willing to dive deep into the science behind his methods. As a patient, I find immense comfort in his comprehensive knowledge of the subject and his willingness to talk shop at any level of engagement. From my first visit, he paid attention to my problems and listened intently to my history. I had moved to the area from out-of-state and hadn't gotten an adjustment in well over a year, which had started causing old problems to surface again. I got my first adjustment on visit #2 and it immediately set me back on a healing path, relieving many of my symptoms in the following days. After a handful of adjustments, my results started becoming more permanent, requiring less and less frequent over time. That's the ultimate sign of a great Chiropractor - the goal is for you to go LESS often, not more!If all chiropractors were like Dr. Jeremy, we'd have a lot less chronic pain in the world.

Over the past few years, I've had tension in my upper neck and brain fog. I had been recommended to visit an upper cervical chiro to help alleviate these issues so I looked on yelp and found Jeremy. On my consultation, we did a few scans and, of course, saw that my upper neck was out of alignment. That same day, I went and got an x-ray of my upper neck done right across the street to see in detail what exactly was going on. The following week, I went back to review the x-ray with Jeremy and we saw that my C1 vertebra was a bit compressed and out of alignment. We then went on to do my first adjustment, which was done with precision (Jeremy used a protractor and a laser for perfect placement). After the adjustment, he had me lay down for about 15-20 minutes in an anti-gravity chair to let my neck rest. While sitting in the anti-gravity chair, I felt some tingling throughout my body but was questioning if anything had even happened since I didn't feel or hear a crack. However, when I left the office and got in my car, the first thing I noticed was that my neck no longer made grinding-like noises when moving it around. It was fluid and smooth. My range of motion looking left to right was unlike I had ever remembered it being. In addition to that, as I was driving home, I realized I could think clearly. I had forgotten what it was like to have such a clear mind and it was such a huge relief to feel fully present again. There's definitely some work to do, but even just after my first visit, I am extremely optimistic about the future of my health and look forward to continuing my treatments with Jeremy!

I am really glad I decided to visit Jeremy's office for some back, neck and shoulder problems. His practice specializes in concentrating on your upper cervical area, which is a deeper analysis in regards to rooting out the cause of the pain you are experiencing. This is especially true if you have already visited traditional doctors or chiropractors, who have not given you a solution, or even if they did, they differed from one another's own judgement. It's worth it to at least set up a consultation. I can honestly say that I am feeling a real difference with my neck and shoulder, and it is only getting better.

Recently a colleague of mine posted a message on what principled chiropractic was all about. "Back and neck pain has very little to do with Chiropractic. Although we see those types of conditions resolve, it isn't its purpose. There are trillions upon trillions of cells working to keep us alive. All of which are predicated on proper nerve function. Thus the reason why Chiropractic was never designed to be a replacement for an aspirin or anything therapeutic (medical). The intention of the Chiropractor is to restore the body to proper nerve system functioning thus enabling you to function and perform at an optimal level both physically and psychologically."
