My son has been taking piano classes the past 5 years! We started with little finger with Ms. Trisha! She was so sweet, patient, and really connected with the little kids. We then did the bigger fingers as well. After that we went with private lessons with Mr. Shay. My son made an instant connection with him. My son has now started guiding lessons with Mr. Michael. He is another great teacher. We love being a part of Norcal Music!
I had the privilege of taking a music theory class with Jackson Levin, a trumpet musician who is also a very gifted, passionate and delightful teacher. I had always played the piano but with the lack of a good knowledge of the theory behind it. Jackson shed light on the Grande Pathetique Sonate by Beethoven, all three movements! And he did it with such mathematical and scientific knowledge of the chord and melodic progressions as well as with a passion for the lyricism and beauty and expressiveness of the music. I felt like I was at a Stanford seminar on music theory and history! If you want both the technical knowledge of what is going on theoretically in the music you or your child play(s) as well as the beauty and fascinating history and backdrop to it, take a class with Jackson! And he is super nice, fun, kind and a wonderful human being!

In the Little Fingers program, I thought the class nicely balanced teaching piano and music fundamentals with the ability to keep the attention of young children. Thanks Miss Trisha!! As parents, we really enjoy the recitals so we see our daughter's progress and development. We are also thankful that NCMAC found Miss Loren when my daughter moved into private lessons. She has a built a fun and engaging relationship with my...read full review
