I had the WORST experience with Dr. Liu this week when I had abdominal pain which has been lasted for a while but currently getting worse. My primary doctor was all booked toward next year, so I booked Dr. Liu instead and was looking forward to having different opinions from different doctor. However, with her extreme unprofessional behaviors and response, I got super mad and wanted to report her to upper management team at Sutter Health! TL;DR - here's what happened:1) She came in without knocking the door, and without any simple greetings except a word "hello". I don't expect anything like how are you or a smiley face, but she just pushed the door and walked in with a poker face, that was the first impression. That's so UNPROFESSIONAL.2) She asked me to fill out a Questionnaire before the visit on MyHealth, which has all the details she wanted me to fill out about the reason for this visit, and I did a day ahead of my appointment. On the day I met her, She didn't even want to spend a minute to look at it and came in without knowing any background information about me, and asked me to tell her everything. It's so funny to see a doctor didn't even do their work before seeing a patient, and ask a patient to tell the whole story since day 1. Ridiculous. Everything has a record in the system, and the reason why I came to see her was super clear after two forms I submitted per her and her team requested. 3) I can ignore the first two points I listed above, no problem, I'm here is to find a solution, an professional evaluation or analysis, and additional help from the doctor. However, she did nothing except touched a few body parts and asked me if I feel any pain, and that's it. I was like, EXCUSE ME?! I'm here to know what might be the cause of the symptoms, what kind of tests or treatment we should do to further evaluate my concern, and any advise you could give to relief my pain or any possible underlying healthy concerns this would be. She did NOTHING but asked me to redo my regular useless, meaningfulness blood work, and that's it. Come on, I have an abdominal pain on the right side ribs area, it was all about the organs underneath such as liver, kidney etc. , even tho I did the ultrasound and it came back normal 3 months back, but the issue was I got even worse symptoms most recently and how could she say "you're fine" because your ultrasound came back normally and kicked me out like that?! Everyone knows ultrasound is efficient but it's not 100% accurate, if you simply Google it, the data will show there's only 70-80% sensitivity and accuracy in the US to detect early stage cancer, and many small tumors would be missed. I brought the data up to her but she told me "No, Ultrasound is the most accurate method for liver screening in the world!" Okay, okay, what else can I say? You're doctor, you're right, no one can challenge your authority. By the end of the visit, she just told me to test my blood which I know is completely useless, but good for them to charge the insurance company right? Hehe. Speechless. She didn't even want to spend another minute to help me analyze the possibility of the potential cause. No solution, no conclusion, no treatment, no smile, no basic respect to her patient, extremely unprofessional. The WORST experience ever. Shame on her being as a MD. Please stay away with this doctor. Thanks.
