I went to my first Vinyasa Flow class, taught by Amber. She's great!!! So positive, forward thinking and so nice...all yoga teachers should be like her! So I did a drop in class at noon, it was packed and HOT. Hot as in temperature hot! I've never done a hot class, and I don't like heat in such a small room with tons of sweaty bodies, but hey complaining aint great and trying hard at something hard is amaze balls right?!!!! So the studio is super conveniently located where there's tons of parking, and that can be a rarity for studios. So after I found the perfect parking space I walked over....paid the $18 drop in fee and was given complimentary mat rental (that saved me $2), and you can buy cold water which is a necessity in this class, you will be hot and you will sweat! I liked the class it was only one hour, which to be honest went by fast, thank the good yoga God because I don't think I could have made it any longer in those poses and the heat!!! You should definitely go to this studio and take Amber's class, she's amazing and has such positive energy flowing in her class!

I have been practicing here for almost six months and have taken several teachers classes, each one challenging, and even fun. I'm also very happy with the teacher training program here. I was hoping to learn more about the postures, methods, yogic philosophy and lifestyle (because I am- or was?- a beginner yogi) and feel like I'm REALLY getting my money's worth. JBY just seems to be really unique, in that regard. To boot, practice is required for several hours a week, and I feel like I'm getting really fit and healthy in the process. The staff is decidedly quirky, and no one class or teacher is really the same. This is something that I deeply appreciate. It's not your cookie cutter studio.

When I was pregnant and needed a great (not good, GREAT!) prenantal yoga program in the South Bay, Just Breathe helped eased my mind and made me feel more confident in my pregnancy journey. When I met the owner, Angie, she really made me feel welcome as a newcomer to the studio and I really liked that she carries SF cred even though she's been a South Bay resident for a long time. I attended a couple of her prenatal classes and it not only opened up my hips (very important!) but opened my eyes and looked at pregnancy in a different light. At the start of prenatal yoga, expect a short conversation about sharing something with yourself/pregnancy, but it doesn't get too hippy dippie like some yoga place I took in Campbell (cough Harmony) Rupali is awesome and made prenatal yoga very challenging! Currently, lunchtime works the best for my mom/work schedule. I took a couple of Carly's classes -- her teaching style is encouraging and nurturing. In fact, the instructors at this studio could very well be, the best in town. If they have specials around the holidays, take advantage of it. I was able to get 20% off a class package, and honestly, without it, the individual classes are kind of expensive. (but I guess, absolutely normal for the area) Nevertheless, I'd come here every time I need a more intimate and personalized experience that you won't get at Corepower yoga.
