A Surprisingly Great Experience!! I wasn't sure what to expect. When I called to make my annual appointment with Dr. Taranto, I received the news that he had left Opulent Eyes. I decided to give Dr. Kim a try. I was happy with the new staff when I called - Joe, Jordan, and Mina. They were very professional and courteous and making the appointment was easy. Walking into the new Opulent Eyes was visually pleasing. It's so much brighter and more open than before. Plus, Joe, Mina, and Jordan were just as pleasant and helpful in person. Dr. Kim was very hospitable and more than competent. She has all the latest technology. She knows her business and she's very personable....read full review

I just had my second regular exam at Opulent Eyes and it was delightful! I returned because of their Optomap retinal scan machine which can be done instead of dilation and then you get a digital image record of your eye health to compare to - its nerdy but I love it. The new team there is fantastic - Dr. Kim is confident and proficient, she was able to explain where my eye health is now and what I can expect in the coming years. Joe does a fantastic job running the office. Mina will help you pick out the best frames. Their selection of REALLY GOOD frames is amazing with a wide price range of options. How do you choose an optometry shop when there are so many on Ventura Boulevard in Studio City?Look no further: go get your glasses and contacts at Opulent Eyes.Everyone here is professional, experienced, friendly, and so nice. Dr. Kang has 28 years of experience, and she was extremely thorough and explained things well during my exam. Joe at the front desk is extremely courteous and pleasant. Mina is a terrific optician and fitted my new glasses perfectly. She helped me pick fantastic new frames (round purple tortoiseshell) and fitted them perfectly.
