Rising Sun karate has enhanced my life in a big way! I discovered a feeling of community in the dojo and through training and self-discipline, I noticed my self-esteem increasing, too. Karate is strangely addictive and now I am much more fit and in command of my life! The Senseis are wonderful and go the extra mile to help their students excel. Plus this gym was founded by the original Green Ranger from Power Rangers! ??

Trained here with my son for 2 years. I'm 47, took the adult class and got into the best shape of my life and we both learned valuable karate and boxing techniques. My son 12 when joined came in scared and timid. Two years later learned a lot and became very confident and saw a huge improvement. His grades went to almost all A'S from a C+ student. Why? Rising Sun Karate sensei's teach not only karate but also speak to them on respect and discipline. We left since we moved to Riverside. We will soon be taking karate where the UCR and UCI students attend since the martial arts are similar. I'm sure my son will see Rising Sun Karate again, hopefully in a tournament....read full review

This is a nice karate school for my three year old son. The Senseis schedule a wide variety of games to help him learn basics of self defense while getting some conditioning and burning off his never ending energy. They are accommodating and patient when my son was hesitant and now he enjoys the lessons.
