As a professional who works from home plus remote locations, I am happy Sierra Sustainable Builders totally shares my vision for a great residence at Lake Tahoe. In collaboration with the architects, Cory Hannaford, President, met with me, took the time to develop a plan within my budget, and shared his extensive experience and ideas. After considering several options for redevelopment of our South Lake Tahoe cabin and getting the preliminary design ideas and basic approvals for adding on, we interviewed 3 different contractors, each offering similar input, but it was the friendly approach of Cory Hannaford, and his confirmed referrals from others who received services, that put Sierra Sustainable Builders Inc. over the top for us. The project started shortly after labor day in 2018 and included a major two story add-on to the cabin originally built in 1938. This cabin had already been added on to in 3 different ways. Our new addition required connecting the very old original cabin to the new addition and accounting for the other changes. It required adding serious support posts & beams, gutting the kitchen, solving flooring issues, and more. The addition got roofed in just in time - before the weather turned - and then was worked on throughout one of the coldest and snowy winters. Cory's crews worked through and finished a beautiful addition. Were it not for the weather, timely completion may have been secured, but it was pretty impressive to see the progress during each of our visits. Trust was huge as we were not present regularly - his crew and most of the sub-contractors treated the property as if it was there own. The pride in workmanship was evident with each progress review and most importantly in the finished project. We couldn't be happier. Without hesitation, I would recommend Cory and Sierra Sustainable for any future work.

Cory and Danny were awesome to work with! They paid close attention to detail and work with talented sub-contractors for finish work. Our project involved everything from engineering to woodworking and was completed on time and under budget. We would definitely work with their team again.
