“Booking Brides Nest was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. I first noticed that the owner, Stephanie, works a lot with our photographer, @antonioprophoto. Because our photographer was such a joy to work with, we had a feeling Stephanie would be amazing as well. Her Instagram account showed pictures of beautiful brides with soft glam makeup. As soon as I visited her website, I knew that she was not only a talented makeup artist but also an organized, transparent business owner. She made her pricing readily available (I didn't have to contact her separately about it), and I was able to instantly figure out if she was available on our wedding day. The booking process alone made it easy for me to decide to work with Brides Nest.

I was able to schedule my trial on the day of my engagement photo shoot. Stephanie listened to my thoughts on the soft glam look I would like for myself, asked me how my makeup looks on a daily basis, and took into consideration the type of makeup I do not prefer. She was down-to-earth and fun to chat with! It was clear that she enjoys what she does, which goes a long way when you book any vendor. Thanks to Stephanie, my makeup looked amazing in all the photos, and it lasted several hours without requiring a touch-up. This definitely helped because we did our shoot at Griffith Observatory around sunset and dusk, so I had no time to look at myself. My hair stayed put throughout the entire session as well. I appreciated that she recommended using extensions.

We still have a few months to go for our wedding, and working with Stephanie is making the process much less chaotic for us. She is quick to respond to all of our questions. She was more than happy to schedule another trial session for me because I'm still not sure if I want to put my hair up or down on the big day. She'll also be doing a trial for my husband.

“Traci has that excellence vibe. She's super friendly and communicative over text when scheduling appointments. I asked for a short, low maintenance summer haircut that I could put up into a ponytail because I need to put it up for sports and working out, and Traci delivered. You can tell she's incredibly skilled at what she does and she has a great eye for style. Two things I thought that made her stand out to me from other stylists is 1) she is honest about what she thinks will work and what won't and gives her best, most helpful opinion to ensure that the result is something that will work for you (some stylists will just let you do something to your hair that won't necessarily look good on you and just go with it), so ask for her opinion because it is valuable and 2) she spends extra time making sure your haircut is just perfect - which illustrates her dedication to excellence. “Theressa is amazing! I've been going to her for a few years, and even after moving out of the 626 area, I drive back to Theressa because I trust her artistry, attention to detail, care, and communication. She expertly understands the limits of hair and chemicals, and will be clear and honest with setting expectations based on hair condition. I went in not knowing exactly what I wanted, but with remnants of a perm and grown out single hair color from last year. I showed Theressa some ideas of what I wanted, and she guided me to find something my hair could handle -- which in this case was with a bit of bleach (too much would've damaged my hair), and a different color than I had in mind, but I think turned out better than the pictures I brought. Theressa is patient and really listened to me. She took care to analyze how the hair color would compliment my skin tone & how the cut would frame my face, and guided me through the entire process. She also gave me tips on how to style my hair for an upcoming event. Theressa's assistant Cindy was also so helpful, attentive & communicative!

“Omg Julie is my go to for everything hair for the last 5 years. She is meticulous in everything she does and will be honest with you to help you best achieve your hair color goal. Also uses the top exclusive Japanese hair product from Milbon. Julie just added Japanese head spa treatment to her service menu after training with Milbon Japanese class in New York, and had to try it. It was amazing. I been having insomnia and literally slept like a baby during the treatment. I been to other head spa and felt you were more like a number and rushed thru services with other people there. Julie makes it personable as the only client there and takes her time in every step to ensure maximum care and relaxation. The ambience, aromatherapy, and soft music was a nice touch. “Dana somehow suggested the exact right cut for me. I had long, wavy hair and she knew exactly how it would take to a shorter cut. I was fearful and skeptical but had great trust in her. I came out with something a little edgier than expected, but it's working! She even offered a free "do over" if I wasn't 100% happy with the cut or the length on the first visit. Dana is a warm and loving person, and fun to talk with. I highly recommend her!“

“Steven is by far the most reliable and talented hair stylist I’ve ever been to. I’ve always had issues with barbers as they typically are really good at using clippers but not so good at using scissors. On the other hand, many hair stylists I’ve been to are good at using scissors but not so good at using clippers and blending it all together. Steven does it all and really understands what you want. He’s a great person to talk to and I look forward to getting my haircut with him every time.“
