Dr. Christensen did a full knee replacement on my husbands knee, apr. 6 years ago...Right before this surgery, he, my husband and I formed a circle and said a little prayer......DR. Christensen wanted to do this.! After the surgery was done, my husband knee was very red, hot a swollen, stayed that way for a long time. Dr. Christianson came in to evaluate my need for a rotator cuff surgery. He rambled on and didn't hear my questions or ignored then, not sure. It was fast and furious. Somehow I got wrangled into proceeding with a plan surgery that same 20 minutes for next week. Without warning, He wanted to pray right then. Although I encourage prayer it's not appropriate in this situation. I left flabbergasted and went home and called to cancel the surgery. This consultation was the strangest I've ever experienced. I went with someone else and had an excellent experience if you want to know who that is. Listen to your gut people. Whew.

Dr Christensen came into the room obviously in a hurry and under pressure. He tested me quickly to scope the limits of my shoulder without looking to see if he was hurting me (he was). Once he figured out that I was in pain from his exercises, he apologized profusely for not noticing beforehand. Then he recommended surgery for the torn tendon in my shoulder and tried to get me scheduled right away. I decided to get a second opinion. This new orthopedic surgeon said that the tendon issue is extremely common for people my age (over 50) and therefore surgery is not called for.
