“I have been training at The Strength Studio for three months now. I started training when I began to feel hip pain and found I just didn't want to blindly accept that surgery was the only option. Also, because I am older, I want to increase my bone mass to avoid future injury, and to gain muscle strength & tone. Patience will be an important factor for me to reach my goals but the owners and trainers at this studio are excellent; the strategy they use of fewer, slowed down, mindful movements really focuses the mind on isolating specific muscles for best results while not having to spend time doing endless (boring!) potentially harmful reps, as is the more usual method for training at various gyms I've been to in the past. Already I am feeling a little stronger, experiencing less hip pain, and am committed to training for the long term benefits. I highly recommend The Strength Studio! It's well worth the investment in time, money and effort to maintain and improve physical stability. The instructors are excellent - very knowledgeable and skilled in working with any physical issues you may have - in addition to teaching great Pilates and Gyrotonics classes. They have both private and group classes, and have recently branched out to include yoga and spin classes. Try it!“
