First off, Happy New Year! 2022 gifted me with an HP Z Book (2 1/2 years old) that decided to quietly die last night. Poof! No "hey lady, I'm losing power" warning or anything like that. And you know how that "I really need to back up my hard drive" procrastination goes, right? Let's just say - I've been up since 2:48 a.m. stressing about this situation. #1 - commandeer hubby's computer (not a laptop - why is this screen SO BIG??) #2 - try to get as much work done without sitting in the corner and rocking (stress does weird things to a person...) #3 - Check YELP for the closest IT Repair Specialist who has awesome reviews (and isn't shady ;-) ) YELP "matched" me with Nick, the Computer & Network Expert here in Simi Valley - PERFECT!! Called and left a voicemail message for Nick. Promptly received a text letting me know he would call me in 20 minutes. Fast Forward: Spoke with Nick and he immediately put me at ease by letting me know he could save the info on my hard drive (feel that breeze? It's me finally exhaling after a l-o-n-g night). I drove to Nick's - what a nice guy! SUPER intelligent and very down to earth about his incredible talents. I don't want to divulge "trade secrets" (capes, magic wands, etc.), but he really did magically get my laptop working, provided me with a robust external hard drive that he built right in front of me (CRAZY!!), repaired the inside (SUPER techy stuff), cleaned out the inside (ahem, I have 3 cats and their hair gets in EVERYWHERE, evidently), and ran some double-triple checks on it. Voilà! My laptop is as good as new! Just, like, that... Sure, Nick made it look easy and entertained me with techy stories, but I KNOW what he did was pure Tech Talent ;-) So, to wrap this gem up, let me re-cap some highlights about Nick and his services: * Very fast! * Very professional! * Very nice * Incredibly talented and knowledgeable * Very fair prices Now, I know this laptop of mine will eventually go to computer heaven and when that happens, I'll be reaching out to Nick for a new laptop and his advice and guidance. THAT's how good Nick and his service is! Trust me - Nick will make you sleep better at night just knowing there's an IT superman that you can contact when you need him (no Bat-Signal needed).

My Windows 10 laptop was working great till I found a way to lock myself out and the password would no longer work. I was faced with wiping the entire system and losing all my data and that was a daunting thought. I sent out a YELP HELP call and Nick at Computer & Network Expert answered the call. He made himself available in the evening on the same day I posted my request and did the repair for me. He saved my computer. He is extremely skilled, thoughtful and knows what he is doing. I recommend his service to anyone with a computer issue. I couldn't believe he fixed it. His price was reasonable and well worth his service.

As with most reviews like this mine started with a computer that was dying. This is my work computer and I of couse did not back things up like I should and the hard drive was about to die. I called nick off of the Yelp reviews that were good and also he was the only one that answered on Friday morning. I told him my issues and he said bring it over now. I rushed to his house and he immediately went to work and told me what he wanted to do to try and fix and salvage my hard drive. His main plane was not working and I stayed with him for about an hour. He told me to leave it and he would attempt plan "B". By this time I figured I was not going to get good news and pleaded with him to do his best. That he did. He called me alter that night and said he was able to "clone" the hard drive and that everything was fixed and working great. I picked up the computer the next morning / Saturday / and paid him. His bill was very reasonable considering what I got from him. Very nice man and very pleasant to be around and work with and most of he does what he says he will and there were no surprises. I highly recommend Nick. And on a personal note Thank You again Nick you saved my butt!!! Jaydee
