I highly recommend studying with Ted. Ted's musicianship is unparalleled (check out his Ellington CD!), and his teaching matches that. He takes things that are very complicated and turns them into something much more digestible. It's so worth it; I've improved so much. Thank you Ted!

Ted is a wonderful teacher. I took classical piano lessons for 14 years with a few different teachers, but have always wanted to learn jazz. Ted is by far the best teacher I've ever had. He is an incredible musician, but he is also a wonderful teacher - a rare combination. He breaks everything down and explains things in a way that's easy to grasp. Even though his personal knowledge is incredibly advanced, he understands how to explain the basics to me as a jazz beginner, and takes time to explain until I understand. I started to take jazz lessons from Ted few months ago. He's vey patience and knowledgeable. One of my recent project was asking music from 50s and he showed me how the arrangement and harmony worked back then. Highly recommend this instructor to people who wants to learn jazz piano and composition
