Update: After I posted this review, she personally emailed me asking me to remove my post on yelp. First of all, you really should not contact people that put up a review. The reviews are based on your experience and for others, not for the owner to personally email the reviewers. The thing that bothered me and prompted me to write my review, was there was no apology. No, I'm so sorry for the confusion, let's schedule something else. She was just rude about it.

This is a long overdue review but hopefully it will prevent someone else from experiencing what I did at Dee Dee's Skin Care. I called and scheduled an appointment for electrolysis with Dee Dee. At the first session, she had the "machine" turned up so high I was in agony (and I've had 2 spine surgeries). She then told me that I needed to purchase some of her numbing cream. Why don't you just provide it for clients that you are treating - especially at the prices you charge? Most other salons do! She seemed very frustrated that I was so uncomfortable with the treatment. After the session, she started pressuring me to buy over-priced products and other treatments (I told her repeatedly I was fine with what I'm using). When I paid for the service, I was told she was keeping my credit card number on file for cancellations. Again - not how most salons conduct business. Not comfortable with this policy of hers, but wasn't too worried as I'm not a person that cancels. But if you are - beware! After this first session, I had a horrible acne break-out and scarring around the area that was treated and I NEVER have acne break-outs. I was quite shocked by this, but thought maybe this is what happens after a treatment. Wrong! I waited until it calmed down and scheduled another session. Prior to this session, I purchased my own numbing cream and applied it 45 minutes ahead of time. At the session, I again experienced intense pain...tears were literally streaming down my face. She again seemed irritated and frustrated by this and insisted that I wasn't using the right numbing cream or it was hormonal. Then she blurted out "You SURE have a LOT of blackheads on your face!" Again, I have very clear skin and I have never heard this in my entire life. Not once. I am sure this was her attempt to get me to schedule a skin treatment with her or buy some of her beauty products. Who says that to a customer? Dee Dee. I now know that she had the machine turned up way too high and who knows if sterile equipment was used. Awful experience. I have now gone to a different electrolysis salon for multiple sessions and had ZERO breakouts, ZERO scarring and guess what? They provide numbing cream for free and the session is actually relaxing without excruciating pain and they don't hold your credit card number and insult you...and it's less expensive. Lesson learned. There is no reason to suffer or be scarred from electrolysis...stay away from this place!

I went to Dee Dee's skin care as the first time user when I received a gift card for my birthday. I am now hooked to the services. The personalized treatment I get makes me feel rejuvenated. Gift card from Dee dee's is the best gift anyone can give. So far I have tried micro-needling and Vipeel with her. My skin is rejuvenated and I feel much Less fine lines. She is professional, friendly, and very personable. I strongly recommend her.
