My brother passed away in May 2, 2024 and I was in charge of making the funeral arrangements. Some of my family lives in Shafter and has used Peters funeral services in the past so Peters was my funeral home of choice since our family has used Peters in the past and has been satisfied with their services . Elena helped tremendously in guiding me through all the details of planning a funeral. She went above and beyond in guiding me and comforting me while I was grieving the loss of my brother. Elena kept in contact with me the days leading up to my brother‘s funeral, she checked in texting and calling making sure I was alright and that I gave her everything she needed to complete the process. Elena and the staff at Peters were compassionate and caring they felt like family.

I was dreading doing my taxes, mostly because I really don't understand how it works. Domingo explained everything to me and was super helpful. It was like night and day compared to all my previous tax experiences. I will be giving him my business every year and recommending DC Tax Service to my family and friends. Robert cut my hair. My go to person when I'm in town. All barbers are licensed and experienced. I get a gentleman's hair cut with a taper.
I felt I had to write a review for this business owner/ operator. It's not every day you meet a genuinely sharp business owner like Omar. He was prompt on the call, professional in his dealings and was able to finish a plumbing repair in a timely manner.. I would happily refer Omar to anyone needing help with their plumbing repairs. Great hospitality. I love Berts barber shop because we can do walk ins unlike other shops! Other shops only do “appointments” just because they want an extra 10 bucks. This barbershop is real as it gets.
kinda tight driveway going in, you have to take dirt shoulder to make it. one man operation, so pack a lunch.
My yard looks like the garden of Eden now praise to Jesus Christ and his lawn service . First water to wine …. Now this?!! What’s next ?!

Our A/C unit quit the end of last week. Air Repair was able to get out to us the same week I called and got the unit up and going in an hour. Tech was great to deal with, communicated well throughout the day, and got the unit diagnosed and repaired quickly. Thank you again!
"The Veterans Hall is where the community of Shafter can have Member Club Organization meetings. Like the Rotary, Lions, Kiwanis Club or Shafter Women's Clubs. It's a community hall that anyone can rent for weddings, reunions. The building has significant historical value to many whom have lived here. Many events from in the past would use the facilities when it's location was part of "Stringham's Park." Now Shafter Veterans Hall is surrounded by the North Kern Municipal Courts for Shafter Wasco, Medical, Public Health and District Supervisors for a FYI.I've worked for the County Of Kern Elections Department 08th of November 2022. An have since 2012 as a Elections Officer Clerk. That's how I was able to post this review for this establishment and organization. I rate the establishment with four stars. Along with a huge floor plan, complete with stage, two kitchen facilities, Outside BBQ Grill and tables and seating to fill any event this side of Kern County!Sincerely: Christopher L. Acosta"
Been going here for years. Best barbershop in town. You get the family vibe coming here. Other places don't really have that anymore.
They are truly professionals of what they do. New members and welcomes are always available. I enjoy going to this barbershop wherever I get to cut. My hair is always done a good job. I don’t have a preference due to everybody knowing how to cut hair. reasonable pricingServices: Kids' cuts

Usually very clean facilities, polite and helpful employees. Consistent place to do laundry. Gave four stars because sometimes customers trash the bathroom and the counters, not the employee's fault!!!
I loved completing my six hour course at Shafter Driving School. My instructor Ashlee was amazing!! My instructor was always on time and she made it a breeze. My first session I had gotten all my sessions scheduled the same day which was great! I got my lessons done in less than two months. I recommend requesting Ashlee !!
