I recently moved to a home that has well water. A few months after moving in, we noticed our water was becoming very hard with majorly unpleasant side effects. Our well water is so hard it leaves your skin with welts, the dishwasher doesn't clean dishes very well, our clothes weren't getting clean in the wash, our water heater started making loud popping sounds due to all the sediment, our shower head was getting clogged etc and this was all in a matter of months! Go local whenever you can! I have an innate distrust of companies I need to hire for my home needs. Rayne Water has met and exceeded my needs. I recently had them install a water softening system. The quote I got was nearly 1/2 of what one of the Big Box stores and the product and install was no different. Two days ago I discovered there was a leak in the pipes part of the system. It turned out the problem was with part of the existing plumbing failing. The plumber came out as quickly as possible and repaired.
