As a tourist, you take your chances. One summer, we were in Seal Beach, and I saw some beautiful photos of a short hairstyle that I wanted to try. So, when I returned a few months later, I made an appointment and loved the cut and color so much that I made an appointment for our Christmas trip. Now, I make sure that Woodruff is just part of my vacation plans to the Long Beach area.

Lisa is wonderful and so kind to gently wash and blow-dry my long hair after I broke my wrist and had surgery. She and Woody have a nice, clean salon and if you're lucky, their two precious pugs, Biscuit & Jelly, will be visiting to joyfully greet you from inside their little fenced-off area. Highly recommend!

Best hairdresser ever. Seriously. I've had to move for various jobs and have driven and flown back into California just so Woody could do my hair. When I've lived in other places, I've had my hair done. It NEVER came close to the great color job that Wood does. You know that line? That line you get when your dye job (from other salons) grows out? Woody never put lines in my hair. If I couldn't get back to see him in time, the grow-out was a graduated change, not a line that needed an emergency touch up. And he doesn't brush color on and leave. He adjusts, checks, tunes, fusses, and makes sure your hair looks great. I can't live there, and I can't always fly in, but no one else makes me love my hair like Woody does. And the dogs are cute.
