While being tortured she is an amazing conversationalist which is the perfect distraction when your bikini line hair is ripped out. “Mary was the stylist for my wedding this past weekend and she was wonderful! She supported make up and hair styling - between me, my mom, mother in law, and matron of honor - and all of us felt so happy with the final result. She showed up right on time, was super organized throughout the day, and kept us on schedule with time for a few last touch ups/modifications before the ceremony. She is full of positive energy and was so easy to get along with. I did a hair trial with her before the wedding to get a scope of what I wanted and she was very helpful during that - sharing pictures and advice about what options worked well/some that didn't based on my hair type and dress. Costs were very reasonable for everything compared to some others stylists I had scoped in SF/Oakland/Marin. I highly recommend Mary and Whimsy! to anyone looking for wedding hair/makeup services.“

“I am not going to lie, I was a little last minute with addressing getting wedding hair and makeup services arranged and Caelie & Brianna were so helpful and really put me at ease. I was able to schedule to go to Santa Rosa to have a consultation with them and brought a few pictures of hair styles I was envisioning. After a short discussion, in just one shot Brianna created a look that blended the pictures I had into my own style and then perfectly recreated it the day of my wedding. Caelie & Brianna came to the AirBnB where my bridal party was getting ready to do all of our hair and makeup for a few of the girls. Everyone looked absolutely beautiful and was so happy with the work they did. The final look of my hair was so stunning and I now have such beautiful photos as a reminder. Caelie & Brianna fit right in with all of my best friends and made the hectic morning feel fun. They gave me great advice when we met and were the ultimate professionals day of my wedding! “I love coming here for regular haircuts. The stylist here work hard to provide an all-around positive experience for the diverse clientelle that come through the doors. They are highly organized and likewise efficient in the services they provide. This is a sister company to the locally recognized West Coast Cuts on Dutton -&- now West Coast Cuts II. You can expect the same high quality and skill from the hair stylists that work here but I think they see less traffic and as a result wait times are minimal. I rarely am weighting more than ten minutes and even that's unusual. This is a high quality, fare priced and friendly establishments. Just like West Coast Cuts, they know good hair cutting and they are with the business here. I rarely wait longer than ten minutes“

“Who would believe a hair , face , nails , waxing salon would be cool at a mall ? Well this place is . It's a cool concept . Dividing the shops / salons individually. Each one has its own decor , services and personality. I wish they all either had a sign out side each , or at least a way to leave a business card and perhaps a handout of services . Single Strand , Jordan Kingsleys , she does color , cuts and barber services . I got highlights from her & I could not be happier . She used Kevin Murphy & even has a cute Beta fish named Murphy, her suite is so cute , w art and again so nicely appointed. I should have taken more pictures !“

“Holly is the best! She understands color soooo perfectly and really communicates all the options. She recently helped me change my hair color from blonde to this rich brown.

Also the space is super cute and clean, parking is really easy and the prices seem very very fair. I've been going here for about a year and while I don't know the names of any of the other stylists you can tell they all really get along... The energy in the space is fun and easy going and it feels very relaxing to be there.“

“I can't say enough wonderful things about Contour Bridal! They did an incredible job making me, my 7 bridesmaids, and MOB feel our absolute best for my wedding! Taylor, the owner, was so sweet and great to work with - going above and beyond to accommodate my crazy schedule for the trial and even managed to find an additional artist for us at the last minute. Jenn did my hair, and Daejah did my makeup, and I was completely blown away by their talent! From the trial, I knew I was in great hands and I didn't want to change a thing! Jenn perfectly captured the look I wanted and my hair stayed perfectly through the night. I felt like a princess! Daejah's makeup look was ART! I don't wear a lot of makeup typically, and she made me feel like the very best version of myself. Also, my makeup lasted until 2am in over 100 degree heat (I needed absolutely ZERO touchups, I still don't understand). Both Jenn & Daejah are so incredible - book them immediately! They are also so so fun, and we had a blast hanging out with them the morning of and they really brought the ~vibes~ for the day. Kaleh & Giselle helped doll up the bridemaids as well and were awesome! Really loved their work. I actually chose Contour Bridal after seeing them work their magic for one of my best friends' weddings, where she had a great experience too! Highly highly recommend, and can't wait to tell everyone I know getting married in Sonoma & nearby areas that they are THE BEST!“

“I had an appointment unknowingly made for me by my wife. I had no idea what to expect walking in and as someone who has just started transitioning, I could not have walked out more pleased. The entire atmosphere was impeccable and i was engaged by every employee at some point. So friendly! I was scheduled to be cut by Montana, and she is absolutely wonderful. I felt beyond welcome and accepted in her chair. It felt as if she was one of my best friends for the last decade. She is creative and did an amazing job on my hair. I'm new to long hair and told her she had complete creative control. I was caught smiling at myself in the mirror by Montana. She knows what shes doing and does it so well you dont notice your hair is being cut; Her head massage/shampoo was a pretty welcome addition, as well.
All in all, Salon West is cute and welcoming, the employees are friendly, and Montana has made a friend for life in me, whether I ever see her again or not. 10/10 recommend.
