Heritage Veterinary Hospital is a full-service veterinary medical facility located in Santa Rosa, CA, providing care for small animals, dogs, cats, and exotic pets. The hospital is comprised of a team of veterinarians including Dr. Tonia Fisher DVM, Dr. Lynne Lankes DVM, Dr. Jennifer Eisley DVM, and Dr. Lea Bove DVM. One client had an emergency situation with their exotic pet, a 2.5-year-old heart rat named Blue. After contacting over 30 vets and programs, they finally found Heritage Vet Hospital. Dr. Lynne Lankes stayed late to ensure the client could bring in their pet, and she was very caring, kind, and patient. She presented the client with every possible option to help Blue, but they both knew it was time to say goodbye. Dr. Lankes made sure Blue was comfortable and that the client had time to say goodbye, and she offered keepsakes like ink prints of Blue's paws. Another client had to put down two of their pets within six months of each other. The first experience with the hospital was positive, with the staff taking their time and being compassionate. Dr. Lankes helped formulate a care plan for the client's remaining pets and was understanding and accommodating when it was time to say goodbye to one of them. The staff focused on the client's needs during this difficult time, making the process easier. The hospital's staff is known for being nice and helpful, talking clients down and giving them the right advice. They treat each pet as an individual with unique needs. Overall, Heritage Veterinary Hospital is a compassionate and understanding place for pet owners, providing excellent care for animals and their owners. While they may be a bit more expensive than other options, their level of care and compassion is worth it.
