I joined earlier this year after a few years of inactivity due to WFH/Covid closures and an illness. Small private gym, often no one in the gym except for me and my trainer, Patrick Temple, if we meet later in the day. You have to pay for access to the gym AND time with a trainer. Mornings are peek time and can get a little busy but never so much that it has impeded my ability to work out. I go 2 days a week for strength training and I've definitely noticed improvement. The gym itself seems pretty standard, has weight equipment, machines, treadmill, stairs, mat area, etc. The decor is pleasant and sometimes at the front desk you can find fruit from people's trees - nice community feel. Clientele generally matches the BV area, mostly white and older. There are also some middle aged people 40s - 50s, and a few high school kids too. The most important note. Proof of vaccination required, people are asked to monitor for symptoms and i personally wear a mask, but most people do not.
Excellent vibes when I walk in. Someone propped the foot open for me as I arrived. Very clean facility and they clean the equipment between clients so you know it's free from Covid. Masks are currently required because of the county mandate and everyone wears one. If you don't have one they will provide you with one. Nice changing area and cubbies to store your belongings. This is definitely the fitness center for me!! And you too should be here ASAP.
I love, love, love this gym!! All the trainers are wonderful. I have worked out with my trainer, Melinda, (having recently been working at Studio Fitness) for over 20 years!! We do a variety of machines, yoga, Pilates, bands, TRX, cables, free weights, medicine ball and kettle bells! Of course, now I must wait to go to Studio Fitness until gyms are allowed to open but Melinda and I have been doing virtual workouts since the Pandemic started!
