My son is suffering from stage three chronic kidney disease and I received a call today rescheduling his appointment almost one month later. The person notifying me of the change was callous and unwilling to let me speak to or reschedule with another doctor. My son's last blood tests were three month's ago and showed that his kidneys are losing protein and now he has to wait nearly one more month before seeing his doctor!
Was seen by Dr. Hamid Hajmomenian. UCLA says you can ask your physician a question on UCLA portal...really....no really Sent Dr. Hajmomenian at least 5 messages over 3 weeks, never got a reply. called the office to complain that I never got a reply from the doctor and asked if he was away on vacation or something, I was told he was not on vacation and that they would leave him a message. Again he never got back to me, I sent another message on UCLA portal to Dr. Hajmomenian and this time I got a response from a medical assistant that told me that she did not have an answer to my questions and would leave a message for Dr. Hajmomenian to call me back. He never did. I contacted UCLA customer service and complained, no one called me back. I asked to be given a name of an administrator at UCLA or the head of the Nephrologist department to complain no one returned my call, was never given a contact name or number. The only time I got 5 calls was about a $25 bill that UCLA thought that I did not pay, turned out they screwed the billing and it was already paid!! No one cares about the patient, no one is accountable. Any complaint is buried and hidden, no one is interested about the poor sick patient. I thought that their primary goal is patient care, I was dreaming...so sad
