After being fed up with not being able to figure out my digestive struggles, I decided to contact SMGastro where I was set up with Dr. Nastaskin. I could immediately tell that he genuinely cares about what he does. From hearing how happy other patients were in the office prior to my appointment, to my first interaction with him, I am thankful he is working with me to find a solution. He put in the time to really hear what I was saying, asked plenty of follow up questions, and I could physically see his notes as we went along. I was really freaked out about getting an endoscopy due to another doctor from this practice sending me home for "not following" the approved liquid diet (I did follow it) and that I should have been and be fasting (I was not told to fast). It was very traumatic to say the least. I asked to switched doctors and reschedule and was told Nastaskin was awesome. Well let me just say he is! He has a very calming presence and he made me feel very comfortable. Annie was the anesthesiologist and she was so sweet. Nurse Lana was very gentle and attentive and I really appreciated how well I was treated for this procedure. If you can, go with Nastaskin at this practice he's awesome.
