I enjoyed the Sunday brunch at the onsite restaurant many times, that is until I saw a living wage charge of 4% today. Where does this insanity end. Maybe a $6.00 dirty plate removal fee? Or a housing fee?
Went on a 2 night getaway to celebrate getting a leg cast off (recovering from a broken foot). Made my situation abundantly clear to front desk staff (before arrival and also day of arrival) and let them know we needed a first floor room.
Asked for a early check in multiple times (didn't get it) and when my hubby went to check in our room after 4pm (said we'd get a text for check in - we didnt) they gave us a second floor unit (almost as if they didn't read our reservation notes or previous employees didn't share information over the shift change). He had to go back and get another room.

Stellar service. Spa was terrific. Rooms a little dated. Super convenient to Santa Cruz and the events we had planned. Restaurant and bar very nice! Too many kids in the pool for my liking but it is summer. ?
Food & drinks: Excellent. Calamari and halibut with gnocchi were my favs.
