Great prices and helpful staff! If you have a little bit of woodworking skills and know how to mill wood (or are willing to learn by watching youtube videos), you can save a ton of money by buying wood here instead of going to HD or SLL. For example, walnut is about 50% less here than those other places.

I was having a hard time in San Jose finding good cherry to make a top for a cabinet. Aura in SJ referred me to Aura in Santa Cruz.They had an excellent stock of very nice, clear 5/4 cherry boards and I was able to get exactly what I needed. I didn't look around too much, but they also had a large stock of 8/4 cherry.The guys were very friendly, helpful and competent. I'm very happy with my experience and purchase.

Great selection and knowledgeable staff for specialty hardwoods. Can be a bit overwhelming to browse but ask and the team will help identify and explain the various species stocked. Glad to have a spot like this in town.
