Patient beware do not use Westpac labs. The technician show up late you end up standing outside waiting. They do not verify your insurance and they are not preferred providers for Blue Cross Blue Shield. I ended up with a $530 laboratory bill after the fact and they would not offer any form of cash discount. This is also the most painful blood draw I've ever had to go through, and I have good veins. Find a Quest or go to BURL UCLA

I usually use LabCorp for my blood work but thought I would try WestPac on Smyth Ave because it is very convenient and on my way to work. I walked in yesterday morning and the lady behind the counter says "yes"? Not good morning or how can I help you but "yes"? I'm here to get blood work done and my Dr sent the work order here a week ago. She said (without looking) it's not here! I say how do you know without knowing my name or my Dr's name? She said again "it's not here". Fortunately I had a copy in my truck and went out to retrieve it and handed it to her. She asks for my ID and insurance card, I toss them on the counter and she said is there anything wrong? I respond that I'm not pleased with the customer service so far and her response was that maybe I should go somewhere else!!! WHAT?? I didn't have time to go across town to LabCorp so i bit my tongue and stayed. So glad this isn't the only lab in town, I have a choice to go somewhere else next time. The only reason it's two stars and not one, there was no one in the waiting room and I got in immediately.

Lisa took me in right away, she is so good at what she does. she took away all the nervousness i get from blood tests. shes also a great person to talk to! loved hearing her stories. thanks again Lisa
