A heartfelt thank you to Mel and Mike and Brandon for seeing us through multiple plumbing disasters over the last several months. We had a pipe leak under the house and in the bathroom that necessitated demolishing the bathroom, tearing out the floor in the closet in the bathroom and more. There was also an unrelated plumbing disaster that involved replacing the vent behind the toilet, putting in a clean out to the sewer and coming on a Saturday to snake out the toilet that was overflowing into the shower (this happened in the guest cottage that we were living in while all this was happening in our house). Sartain plumbing put in a tankless water heater for the house, replaced the plumbing under the house and did the plumbing for the bathroom remodel. We can't thank them enough for sticking with us and providing moral support as well as plumbing heroics.
It was 12-23-23. We needed a hero. A different plumber had replaced our sewer lateral. During a 3 day period in which 6" of rain fell with the trenches still open, the sewer lateral fell apart. (I know, right?) Sewage was flowing into the trench instead of to the city sewer. Our plumber was INCOMMUNICADO, so we stopped using the drains, set up a camp toilet in the backyard, and started calling other plumbers. The 4th plumber who answered the phone was Mel of Sartain Plumbing. He asked astute questions, showed up 25 min later, waded into muck that was - well, you can imagine --, reconnected the line while explaining his findings, made helpful suggestions, and billed less than he had estimated over the phone. He listens well, has a sense of humor, and is smart, professional, trustworthy and VERY MUCH appreciated. We found our hero.
Needed the outdoor line “Snaked”…found the van on the street waiting to service his next call. I asked for help as two other plumbers never returned my calls. Mel came to my rescue promptly with a sense of humor and my disaster was fixed!! BIG thank u!! So greatly appreciated!Service: Toilet repair
