I originally had an online appointment for European wax center but when I got there, the place was closed. I called and they couldn’t do the appointment and when I asked about the following day they said no. They just called this morning to tell me that they were going to have to cancel my appointment for today (it was last Friday, not today)!
I looked over and saw Top Nails. on the window they advertised waxing services. What the heck! I walked in and got a French pedicure, which was perfect ?? then Myla took me to a private room and waxed my eyebrows and did the most perfect Brazilian ever. She had her own technique and I was happy that she did it her way. A week out and I didn’t have one ingrown hair. I had 3 services for under $100 w/out tip
Really happy and I’ll definitely go back especially if I want another wax! Thanks to Myla and to the woman that did a beautiful French pedicure on me!“

“Visited Monterey for the weekend and last minute searched for a place to destress and get a mani/ pedi for me and a pedi with no polish for my husband. So glad we stumbled across this nail salon! Come here for the best relaxing acoustic music videos, a quiet vibe, the comfiest hot pad on the backs of the pedi massage chairs, and treated by the sweetest family run business. Loved my polish color and the careful and thorough care we received for the most reasonable price. Will come back again next time I'm in town!!“

“OMG!!!! Finally found my forever nail technician! Frankie is amazing! His acrylic application is competition level. Coming from a former nail tech of 16 years. Friendly, personable and no lifting! I’m including a photo of my nails a few days after they were done with no cuticle oil added. ( nail art was done by me) when you add cuticle oil it hides imperfections that appear a day later after leaving g the salon. You can see the acrylic is “perfectly” applied at the cuticle. Same service every time! I just can’t say enough! Thank you, Frankie! I love my nails. Please never retire! PS: Note the name change on the business. It is now Lighthouse Nails.“

“We are in Monterey to hide from the heat at home. We chose Love nails because of their great reviews. We are so happy we did! There technicians were very good! Sanitation was excellent! My nails & toes are beautiful! I asked for a hibiscus flower and it looks exactly like a hibiscus and she did free hand. Very happy with Love nails! My husband loved his pedicure and massage too! Definitely will use them every time I'm in town.“

“I had the best pedicure I've had in a long time. I opted for the deluxe with gel. They were upfront with the pricing so I wasn't surprised about anything extra. They have scent options to choose from and I got peppermint. Kevin was my pedicurist. He did the best massage, it was lengthy with good pressure. It was worth any extra. Their regular pedicure is priced at only $30 too, which is very reasonable.“

Note: if you’re looking for fancy nail art or the most modern techniques in nail art, sadly they don’t do it here. But, I’ve been pleased with the current gel polishes they carry! The new lady - Kim gave me a beautiful layered cut. I have fine, but a lot of hair and on a whim felt like cutting it. She is GOOD! Meticulously going over it where needed. Very happy.

I paid $50 for both a full almond set and a pedicure she took her time to be very precise with everything, I'd highly recommend!“
