I have been seeing Chinese acupuncturist for over 10 years. My doctor recently retired and got Vivien's name from my facial lady. When I first talked to vivien on the phone. She said she takes insurance but then the nightmare starts. She asked me to pay in cash then could file insurance on my own by giving me receipts. I did and asked for receipts every time I see her. After 3 treatments, she gave me a non medical super bill with no EIN number. It's not acceptable by insurance. Things started to go chaotic. At first she refused to help filing insurance because of language barrier; gave me all the excuses, assuming my insurance is cheap with huge deductible, assaulting my employer provided bad insurance...Then she said it costs her to hire someone to do it (every medical clinic hires some professional to handle billing, it's a very basic thing). Five months after with enormous amount of time on calls and chats between Viven, me and my insurance company. I discovered she filed and charged 2 times the billing amount to my insurance. She reimbursed me what I paid her in cash and pocketed the rest of the money. She said it's legal and legitimately done. Not to mention the treatments I received have no affect on me. The way she handles works is very doubtful and unprofessional. I feel sad that she had ruined the reputation on the field of Chinese acupuncture.
I had been there 3 times. The first time was good., and then the second and third time, the women just talked too much to me and just massaged an half hour , but charged me one hour price.
