Jane is great! Her studio is very clean. I got a perm and a two block haircut for the first time, and am very happy with them. As she cut and permed my hair, she would let me know what she was doing which helped me feel more comfortable with the process. Additionally, at the end, she showed me how to style my hair, based on the photo reference I provided. I'm very satisfied with the result! I'll definitely be coming back.

The haircut was generally ok in our first interaction. Saw her in person once and was made to feel like she was doing you the biggest favor in the world by cutting your hair even though you're paying her. You don't need to be extra friendly to be a hair stylist but you can't make your clients uncomfortable/feel crappy by asking even asking a simple question as 'what shampoo do you recommend?' If you want a service from her, just know that it'll most likely come with an attitude and general unfriendliness. For our second interaction, I saw from other reviews that she might have been having a tough time with her dog passing (which she did not tell me, nor did she have to). I was also going through my 2nd miscarriage in 2 months so I was empathetic to other things in life happening but it was an overall very negative interaction that left me deciding to not coming back. Pretty disappointed since I was hoping she'd be my go to stylist given all the good reviews.

my appointment with jane was okay, but she should improve on her customer service and listening skills. she wasn't really friendly when I walked in and didn't make any conversation hardly. it was uncomfortable in her suite. she whipped out the shears when I asked her what are you doing? she rolled her eyes and sighed. I can tell she didn't like questions. i reached out to her with issues on my haircut and she blocked my number. what a childish act.
