I wish I could give them 10 stars. Jeff is the perfect mixture of easy-going and detail oriented. I stumbled across his shop one day after visiting a few larger businesses, and he immediately put me at ease with his professionalism and knowledge. I went in to the shop four or five times before deciding on a final floor, picking up and dropping off samples each time and never felt like I was being annoying and indecisive even though I was! When I changed my mind mid job, about a section of the floor, he pivoted easily. Everything about the installation process was seamless. Jeff came over to measure and answer questions, and his installers were a pleasure to have around, and the quality of their work was outstanding. I worked with several other subcontractors on this project, and without a doubt, this was my favorite.

We recently moved to the area and we needed hardwood floors for the entire house. Mertel Flooring was recommended by 2 friends and we went there first. Jeff, the owner, met with us and explained the different types of floors and sent us searching his floor room of samples. We settled on a nice Hickory hardwood. Within a day, Jeff went to the house which was being renovated, measured and had a proposal for us. We placed our order and Jeff was to work in conjunction with painters and sheetrockers to try to complete our job prior to the move-in date. A few weeks into our house project, we were notified by Jeff that there were supply issues from the East Coast for our wood delivery. He made every attempt to rush the now delayed order while keeping us informed of the situation. When most of the wood was finally delivered, Jeff's people worked hard to finish the larger areas, to facilitate our movers. Within a few weeks, Jeff's crew (Marco & guys) was able to complete the job to our immense satisfaction. The detailed trim work was outstanding as well. At my request, Jeff had Marco return a month later to install a newly needed transition piece.Jeff and his crew were extremely efficient and friendly. Prices were very reasonable and the craftsmanship unequalled.

Mertel replaced carpet throughout our home, and also installed laminate flooring in an office area. Their crew was excellent - very professional, neat and tidy, and did a great job installing and moving furniture as well. Will definitely use them in the future. Jeff was also very helpful in pricing the work, a much clearer and open communicator than the three competitors from whom I also obtained bids.
