“My father was an outdoorsy guy who loved being on the water. When he passed, my family and I wanted to spread his remains at sea on his birthday. After speaking with Captain Gary, I chose Burial at Sea because he really took the time to explain the process and answered my questions in a caring manner. Captain Gary and Terri were so professional and compassionate! Terri made a beautiful display for my father’s remains with many flowers. We played music that reminded us of my father and each family member had a chance to share their memories. They allowed us to take as much time as we wanted. When we were ready, Captain Gary gently brought my father’s remains with the flowers over the side of the boat and helped us lower it into the sea. Afterwards, they took us on a brief tour of the harbor, pointing out sea lions and seals on the rocks and buoys and speaking about their experiences with sea life preservation. Terri provided us with snacks and water on the way back to the dock and certificates with the coordinates where my dad’s remains were released. It was an emotional yet beautiful experience for our family and a loving tribute to my father. Thank you Captain Gary and Terri for your patience, courtesy, and support.“
“When my father passed, we didn't know what to do. We only knew to call the Neptune Society. They handled everything from pickup to notifying Social Security. Their arranger, Ana, was extremely helpful and responsive, walking us through the whole process when we needed it most. I highly recommend their services.“
