The atmosphere in this beauty salon is very relaxing. Because of the stylists' style and demeanor, you will not feel intimidated. There is no pressure to overdo anything in terms of fashion style or hair unless you want to. In addition, they use excellent products at just the right price. It is also a pleasure to work with Sasha's mother, she does color, and hairstyle just beautiful. It is always a pleasure to work with Sasha on make up, and she listens to what you want, whether casual or more formal. The place is wonderful and highly recommended if you want a relaxing experience and the hair and make-up you really desire. El ambiente en este salón de belleza es muy relajante. Debido al estilo y comportamiento de los estilistas, no se sentirá intimidado. No hay presión para exagerar nada en términos de estilo de moda o cabello a menos que lo desee. Además, utilizan excelentes productos al precio justo. Siempre es un placer trabajar con Sasha y su madre bien sea en el maquillaje, tu cabello, el color porque ellas escuchan y respetan lo que quieres, ya sea casual o más formal. El lugar es maravilloso y muy recomendable si quieres una experiencia relajante y el peinado y maquillaje que realmente deseas.

Sasha is great!! She cuts my 2 year old and my husbands hair. Used to take my son to another salon, but felt like they were a little aggressive so started bringing him to Sasha. The day of his appointment I would honestly get anxiety because I knew how upset he would become. She's always been so patient with him and would take her time. After a couple of appointments he's finally doing a lot better. This last appointment he finally walked in on his own and even sat on the chair himself. I was so proud, and relieved!!! Thanx Sasha!!!

Very few times I walk into a place without any background whatsoever and get blown away by the service and product. I just started working in San Mateo so both of my go-to hair stylists are/were based out of San Francisco. I was in a desperate situation because I needed a haircut before I left for my vacation the next day. Well, I did a quick search and found a place two blocks away. I went to that place only to find out that there was a two-hour wait for a haircut. As I was walking back to my office, I saw this place. I walked in and was able to make an appointment just a couple hours later. I was nervous at this point because I don't usually trust my hair with strangers and especially with an establishment that had no Yelp history. Aside from a few reviews on Google, I took the risk anyway. Boy am I glad I did! I walk in Sasha greets me and she get's right down to business. She cuts my hair, asking me questions and my feedback along the way. She was very attentive but also gave you the sense that she really knew what she was doing. She cut my hair and cleaned-up my beard, washed my hair, and styled it all for a little over $40! Needless to say, I was more than happy to give her a tip. I had a great conversation with her and I honestly can't wait to come back. Towards the end of my haircut, I asked Sasha why they weren't on Yelp. She said that her mom actually started the salon about 10 years ago and named it after her - "Sasha" (who would've only been a young teenager at the time). They've survived and thrived this past decade all on the word-of-mouth. Now, I don't know about you, but in order for a business to survive these days based purely on word-of-mouth must mean that they have very loyal customers who are also willing to spread the word (and now, including myself). I couldn't resist and just had to make sure that people would know about this place. They are so friendly and do their craft so well. There's nothing pretentious about this place. You won't see hipsters in denim/leather aprons. Nor will you get offered a PBR or a shot of whiskey. Instead, what you'll get is a quaint mom and daughter operation and the feeling of walking into their home whilst having an amazing conversation and a great time. You'll also walk out looking spiffy!
