My grandmother was hospitalized for several weeks, and we knew she needed help as she lives by herself at home. Family Matters In-home care was recommended to me and I received a response to my inquiry almost immediately after sending it. It was my first time navigating in-home care and James, the Care Manager made it so easy and seamless. We discussed her current living situation and her needs, and he visited my Grandma in the hospital to chat with her. As a formerly very active 93 year old who lived independently, my Grandma was tentative about a care giver. After speaking to James and expressing her concerns--she was relieved to know she was going to be able to do things on her terms. She was confident in her choice to use Family Matters for her in-home care services. James did a thorough home inspection and helped us get my grandmother's home to where it would be wheel chair or walker accessible and gave us great recommendations. We were pleased about the care she received, and she not only trusted the women who cared for her but enjoyed the company! While we used Family Matters for around the clock short term care during her recovery period---we know who to call if we need long term care. Family matters is an excellent family run business who truly listens to their clients and cares about their well being and sense of autonomy. My grandma always felt listed to and that she was ultimately in charge. They were such a help to our family during a hard time and I cannot recommend them enough!!
The caregivers are so caring and really make sure that my Dad's needs are taken care of. From his grocery shopping, doctor appointments, and even his daily walks are all taken care of. Family Matters picks the right caregivers for the individual. Love them!
I called Family Matters on a Saturday, desperate for immediate help. I received a call back in a very short time and was able to set up care right away. Oscar was extremely knowledgeable and helped me figure out what I needed. The caregivers were professional, attentive, patient and kind. I will absolutely call them again if the need arises in the future.
