Here's a "thank you" note I recently sent to Bonnie (the owner) that sums up the experience my son and I have had with our music lessons over the years:I just want to say how much we both LOVE having you as our music teacher. Your approach is so incredibly unique, adaptive, approachable and engaging and that’s what has kept us coming back over the years. Plus, your passion is contagious. You’ve nurtured an incredible sense of confidence and musicality in Jaiden that he takes everywhere and shares with everyone. Here's a "thank you" note I recently sent to Bonnie (the owner) that sums up the experience my son and I have had with our music lessons over the years:I just want to say how much we both LOVE having you as our music teacher. Your approach is so incredibly unique, adaptive, approachable and engaging and that's what has kept us coming back over the years. Plus, your passion is contagious. You've nurtured an incredible sense of confidence and musicality in Jaiden that he takes everywhere and shares with everyone. You've shown him that learning music can always be fun by the way you've cleverly incorporated all of the foundations and fundamentals into character narratives. You even write custom pieces that cater to his specific music interests - who else does that!? He just loves playing all of your rock mashups! And then there's everything you've done for me. I never thought I'd be taking a piano class at the age of 45...ever. The way you're able to break things down in different ways to see which one sticks the most with me is so impressive. You know how I think better than I do! I'm just grateful that you invited me to play along during Jaiden's lessons as a way to keep him engaged and accelerate his learning. That was brilliant.
I found Dr telvelde thru internet search. As I had played piano for 12 years, I understood piano lessons were a commitment from the parent, student and teacher. I wanted my son to have a good foundation from the start and to love it early on. Rather it be a chore for everyone. Dr telvede had questions about my son and instantly I knew she was the one. She asked personality questions and this determined whether she knew how she was going teach him. He is 7 years old and after a month he is learning fur Eloise (beginner version) but I'm shocked! My son enjoys his lessons, I'm thrilled w the progress. Yes, she is expensive, but I don't feel like I'm wasting our time. There is definite progress. My 2 year old is getting a little 5 minutes here and there. She is upset when she doesn't get her turn. Dr teVelde really knows how to motivate these kids. Her method is totally unique to what I had growing up. I think we will be with her for many years to come!
