Avoid this company at all costs. Very shady tactics used on us that ultimately ended in Zeshan blocking us from communicating with him after they abandoned our job. Zeshan of Cal Bay Marble's had reached out to us via email pitching their work and we decided to give them a shot. We discussed having Cal Bay Marble's come out to a job and handle a simple kitchen slab replacement and bathroom slab replacement. On the day of the job, Mission Floors Inc shows up.. not Cal Bay Marbles. From there, it just continued going downhill. The company they sent out could not complete their work, broke material, never showed up on time (sometimes days late) and eventually abandoned the job leaving the work unfinished. When we reached out Zeshan about this, he took zero accountability for the way this was handled, blocked us from communicating from them and had zero effort in resolving this abandoned job. I would never recommend this company to anyone. This was an absolute nightmare on what should have been a simple 1 week project.
I've used Cal-Bay Marble previously and they did a fantastic job. Unfortunately, their work has gone down substantially. I had them retile my bathroom -- the tile wasn't laid evenly, the very first tile as you entered the bathroom was too high, the grout lines were uneven, and they added too much water to the grout so it failed to adhere evenly. I complained about the craftsmanship so their fix was to send the guy who did the shoddy work come back to fix it -- I said no. So they sent another employee out to "fix" the shoddy work. Three days later they had a new person remove some of the poorly installed tile. While it looked better there were numerous tiles that remained that are uneven. This is pretty disheartening because Cal-Bay is not cheap. I was willing to pay more because I thought their work was good -- this is no longer the case. I text them to say that they forgot to reinstall the transition strip. Their representative wrote back saying they don't have the tools to do that; but their website says they do carpentry work-- how disingenuous.I do NOT recommend Cal-Bay Marble. They no longer seem capable doing a quality job!
