For years I had wanted my back tattoo but no artist/shop ever gave the right impression until I saw a Matt Tillman tattoo. The tattoo clearly showed Matt had the technical chops along with excellent attention to detail. Walking into his shop (which was very clean) for the initial consultation I could tell very quickly Matt was a genuine guy and more importantly, would be able to correctly interpret my intention/vision for the tattoo. In fact over the whole process Matt’s friendly and professional rapport was second to none. These traits along with not being afraid to solicit second opinions from his colleagues is in my humble opinion critical to building artist-client trust and to give the tattoo every chance of success. The combination of all these reasons was why I kept going back until the tattoo was done. Subjectively I now feel comfortable and proud of my own skin (Covid-19 weight gains NOT included) and every time I look at the tattoo I can’t believe that I get to live with a tattoo that is quite frankly off the f%^king wall. So... would I recommend Matt to anybody, f%^k yes. Simply put I can’t say enough good things about Matt as a person or his artistic ability and technical execution. Matt, many thanks for the tattoo. You’re a fantastic bloke and a master at your profession. Cheers mate, Andrew P
