Went in for an epidural today with Dr. Wang. This would be my third one. I know how much pain this causes. Surgeon is making me go through this again before scheduling surgery. I explained to him about my post procedure pain and was refused pain medicine for the after procedure. His reasoning, was and I quote, "You've never had it done by me." So apparently Dr. Wang can guarantee no pain post his procedures. I walked out without getting it and called my neurosurgeon for a new referral. I will be filing a complaint with the State Medical Board.
Some years back, my PCP needed me to move to a qualified pain management provider to handle my needs. I found this provider and selected Dr Raymond Hsieh to be my doctor. Hs seemed to be okay but approximately one year in, he found that another patient with the same name, first and last, and birthdate had also been been receiving pain meds. This patient was in the central valley. We checked the dates and saw that the first date, I was out of the country on a work assignment, easily verifiable by passport stamp. The second date, I was in Hawaii with family. The third I was home. Rather than take any action to resolve this, he discharged me as a patient. FYI, my next pain management Dr did his due diligence and determined that it was indeed not me; this took all of 20 minutes out of the Dr.'s busy day. It appeared that Dr Hsieh values his practice over the welfare of his patients. This seems to be common at this practice as my significant other was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. The institute that handled her care recommended that she go to see Dr Lo of the same office. We called and tried to set up an appointment but they made it clear that they would not prescribe pain meds for her care. Not very humane either. I cannot recommend this office in any way. FYI I do recommend Sutter Health or Stanford for pain management.
I first went to dr chueng 6 years ago for a injection. He is amazing. It lasted for 5 years and now I'm sadly back. I need back surgery but need to lose weight and need another injection to tide me over in the mean time. Because of an insurance snafu I had to go to do khan. She is my fav. She's so sweet and personable. I don't get these reviews saying she's a sociopath. I found her very professional and sweet. Her demeanor was lovely. She has had my injections approved with my insurance in a timely manor. She resent my pain meds and Gabapentin to tide me over until my injection. These people all are top notch docs including dr Khaun
