Posted a request for quote on Yelp and this was one of three responses. HD Mobile Repair was the lowest bid by $10 for the replacement of screen and back on a iPhone XS Max using my own parts. Went in and was advised that the quote was only for labor on the front screen - $90. HD Repair did not want to replace the aftermarket back asserting that the pressure sensitive glue on my part would soon fail. Since my focus was the front screen, I just had that done and didn't bother with the back. Went to lunch and the phone was finished when we got back. Paid by Visa credit card. One ding is that I thought that this should be nontaxable - it was a repair of a phone to restore operation using customer parts. Per the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration Publication 108, Labor Charges - Nontaxable Charges, it should not have been taxed. See So, I'm out an extra $9+, but the phone looks and works much better now and it was still cheaper than the other bid.
I dropped my phone face down and shattered the screen. I was so happy after I left HD Mobile Repair, after 30 minutes waiting, my phone was as good as new again. Thank you HD Mobile Repair.
These guys are great. Gave me a great price and had my phone screen fixed in 30 minutes. While others told me it would take hours at a higher price. The fella who helped me is also really nice and personable. They are worth your patronage
