If you want premium cabinet refinishing, this is your place! Freeman Finishing has either finished or re-fnished ALL the cabinetry in my house at this point. I've gone back to them again and again because the quality of the work is top-notch, and they pay as much attention to the prep and the clean up as they do to the painting. I LOVE the re-finish they just did on my bathroom cabinets... it looks beautiful and just how I pictured. Todd even helped me pick out an awesome color of paint.
September 2013 My kitchen was remodeled in the 1980s with custom-made cabinets. Fiscally, it would have been a poor move to have new cabinets built. But the cabinets had the "golden oak cabinets" look. I got a referral from a designer friend and contact Freeman Finishing, Inc in San Jose. Todd came out to check out the cabinets. He was very informative about how the cabinets had aged through exposure. He opened one of the cabinets and showed me where there was no exposure and told me "this is what your cabinets looked like in the 1980's". Sure enough the cabinets looked like that. However, I was updating my kitchen, new backsplash, solid surface, appliances, refinishing the wood floors. Scott told me that he would be able to refinish the cabinets. As we discussed the process and what he could do to water-stained wood (like in front of the sink areas) he mentioned that he could "brown them up". My ears perked up. Todd asked to take two cabinet doors with him. One he did nothing to and the other he "browned them up". There is was no stained used. He explained the processes he was going to use on the cabinet door. I went down to his shop to give my official blessing on the results and let me tell you Todd Freeman is an ARTIST. I have a very large kitchen. The process on the cabinets in house took three days. Todd and his crew took the doors back to the shop. They took off all the hardware and covered all my under counter lighting. Two weeks later, the doors came back and where installed. Todd has been in the business well over 25 years. He is not the cheapest but from my experience he was the best. Sometimes you do get what you pay for. My cabinets look brand new. No more "golden oak look". The cabinets look like I have new cabinets.
