If I could give a zero rating I would but 1 is the lowest rating possible. I hired Eagle One Construction to remodel two bathrooms and a garage in a new house I bought. I completely regret hiring this company. The quality of their work is poor and shows up in every part of the house they remodeled. The biggest issue was the master bathroom shower. Within 3 years of the remodel the master shower started to release a terrible odor. We replaced the plumbing for the entire house and still the smell persisted. We called over the owner of Eagle One Construction (Winston) multiple times. He did show up but never helped us find the root cause. Eventually we realized the master bathroom shower was leaking water. Winston denied the issue after one visit but a subsequent visit with a professional plumber confirmed the issue. Winston was forced to see the leak but again denied the issue was his. He eventually paid $2000 to help mitigate the cost of having to install a new shower but this is a small fraction of the total money I will have to spend to fix his poor workmanship. The money doesn't even come close to compensating us for having to smell a terrible odor for over a year each time we showered. We finally decided to hire a new contractor to replace the old shower basin. We found the shower basin was never properly installed. All Winston did was put in a plastic liner and did not perform a proper hot mop seal in any part of the shower. The water leak was so bad that black mold had built up in the shower which was causing the severe odor. And there was hole in one of the vent pipes. Three other things to note in the master bath. The wall tile he installed cracked within a year of installation. The ceiling paint pealed in less than one year of application and he left an open hole to the inside of the wall above a mirror cabinet that was not visible to the eye unless you were on a ladder. Now let's move on to other areas they remodeled. The guest bath floor tiles wobble (within a year) and the epoxy coating they applied in the garage has deteriorated and peeled back in multiple spots. Craftmanship is terrible.

We used Winston in the May/June time-frame in 2012 to remodel our kitchen in our newly acquired home in Almaden Valley. We had three contractors bid on the work and Winston was the most competitive. Based on positive feedback from our friends about Winston, we decided to go with his team. He set out a project timeline and met it. He was very transparent on any additional costs if needed. And this additional cost was very small though and I agree was justified. Initially, we asked Winston to re-model our kitchen. We liked working with Winston so we also had him do our garage and attic. All-in-all, Winston is a very nice person to work with, and is trustworthy and honest. He met all his commitments to us with a high quality of work. He even went out of his way to do a few extra things for us at no additional charge e.g. pick up cribs for our newborn twins and put up a mailbox. What more can one ask for. I have been recommending Winston to my colleagues and friends. Keep up the good work Winston and Team.

I would recommend Winston and his team wholeheartedly! We recently purchased a townhouse in Willow Glen (DryCreek Village) which needed some remodeling - After studying reviews on Yelp we chose a few contractors to bid on the work we needed - we were impressed by Winston right away as he seemed to understand what we wanted and, very importantly, understood that we were working on a tight budget. He also figured out what was really important to us and helped us "neutralize" as much of the area as possible. There were several types of flooring in the house and even more wall colors (some of them quite dark).... Winston and his team managed to "work around" us as we moved into the house during the renovation and still managed to keep the house "livable" to the best of their ability. They tore out one complete bath and started fresh, painted all ceilings, walls and woodwork, replaced all light fixtures (there was one of every style throughout the house), replaced all switches, dimmers and outlets so they all matched, ripped out most of the old flooring and matched the new laminate to the laminate which was already in the living area (this was tricky as it was hard to find an exact match) - and wired the house for cable and put outlets/cable cords directly in the wall where Flat Screens were hung. I watched as they worked on the laminate going up the stairs and throughout the second floor and I have to say with all the uneven floors and less than perfect corners....I am amazed at how perfect the finished product is. There were several other miscellaneous items that came up as we began renovating and Winston never missed a beat with add-ons and general repairs which were not included in the original bid. We were a little nervous at the end when all the "extras" were added but just as his original prices were reasonable - so was every additional item...no gouging here! I used to renovate and flip houses and have dealt with MANY contractors before and I have to say Winston and his entire team were some of the best to deal with overall. Hard workers, trustworthy, polite and Pet friendly! We are already making plans for "Phase II" of our renovations and will definitely use Winston and his team at Eagle One Construction again.
