Dr. Andy Hoover has been one of my favorite dentists I have ever had. He is down to Earth, thorough, and makes sure and and all questions are answered. Not once has he ever insisted on unnecessary procedures, been rude, or been able to accommodate a request for information on his services. Even when my insurance provider went out of network I stuck around because of him and two dental hygienists. Some of the dental hygienists liked to play dentist and insisted they saw cavities, problems, or made off handed comments about our conversation topics. Glad they all left, maybe they can go to dental school. :) Sad to say I am leaving this practice now. Even sadder this place is being taken over by a bunch of greedy corporate dentists (look em up, they own a bunch of other practices). New dentist saw the tiniest/smallest cavity and told me to stop eating desserts, drinking sodas, and take better care of my teeth. I brush twice a day, floss, and use anti-cavity mouthwash. I don't go near soda and I limit my sugar to below recommended levels. Dr. Hoover looked at that cavity and rolled his eyes when it came time to filling it, he barely noticed it I'm sure he was questioning why the new dentist was so pushy about getting it done and having other follow up exams. To make a long story short: Dr. Hoover you will be missed, the new dentist is as friendly and warm as a a cactus in a blizzard, stay far away from San Jose Dental Associates.

I have been seeing the Dr. Hoovers' for years now. My wife has been seeing them much longer and had been trying to convert me. When my dentist finally retired, I gave them a try. They are top notch from top to bottom. My other guy was really quite good, but these folks set the bar in terms of professionalism, excellence and friendly, comfortable atmosphere. I used to dread going to the dentist, now I can say I have fallen asleep while being treated. That should say it all. And I love the results. They even cured my snoring with one of their snore guards. My sleeping is much better now as well. Save your time and energy and give them a try. I'm sure glad I did.

Dr. Andy Hoover and his team are the best! It's amazing that Dr. Hoover always stands in a patient's shoes and tell me what I may expect along with his procedure. It reflects that he has so much experience and cares about his patients. He is very honest, skillful and efficient, definitely the best dentist in the area.
