Bro they messed up my friends hair. They made my homegirl look like she came straight from kiss or looks like Spock from Star Trek. Unless u tryna look them seriously DONT go HERE. My homegirl been crying for days bc of this haircut. She lookin like Edgar from sjsu.

If you want a good haircut do not go here, they will say they know what you want and then give u the worst version of what u wanted. If you want a good haircut i promise there are better stores

TL;DR: $35 for a shampoo, nice cut and blow dry (long hair) in Inner Parkside. Longer version: I've been cutting my own hair using the ponytail method for the past 5 or 6 years and decided it was about time to get a professional cut. My hair was super crispy from lots of ocean exposure and generally not taking the best care of it. It was long (down to my bum). Wendy has had her shop for 23 years and I remembered how my grandma looked forward to her haircuts with Wendy so I gave it a whirl. We talked about how I wanted to go from a V shape to more of a U shape but keep the length. Using a mirror, she showed me where she was going to cut it (about 5 inches off the bottom). She recommended thinning it out rather than layering it due to my texture, so I agreed. She could tell I had just washed my hair yesterday and recommended a particular hair oil to re-invigorate my mane. She worked quickly; it was only about an hour for the whole process. She is also a nice lady; I used to take my grandma in for her haircuts after she was wheelchair-bound and she was very patient with the chair to seat transfers and I appreciated that she had a great rapport with my grandma. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because at the end of the cut, she had taken more like 11 or 12 inches off and had gone to town with the thinning, which was a shock. Also, it is more straight across rather than U-shaped. But my hair feels way healthier now and I think maybe there was a bit of a communication challenge which contributed to our different ideas of what the plan was.
