I'm so glad I decided to give Connie a chance recently as I was in need of an affordable but quality barber/stylist in San Francisco. I had been biking out to Judy at Gentle Cuts on Taraval in the Sunset but Judy was hit or miss and I often was on the barber seat's edge, not knowing if I would get the haircut I was looking for or if I'd leave the salon with way too much hair chopped off. Connie is amazing and she will be my go-to haircut spot in SF for now on. I have a very particular men's fade haircut that, for reasons unknown to me, has been very challenging for most hairstylists, from student stylists at upscale salons to small neighborhood barbers. I brought an iPad with photos of the cut I wanted and Connie nailed it, taking her time to make sure she didn't shave or cut too much hair off and always checking in with me to make sure the cut was shaping up to my liking. Connie is able to talk and cut hair at the same time! She's very personable and is doing everything she can to keep her prices affordable. $25 for a quality haircut is worth every penny. Connie has incredible attention to deail and gave me a better haircut than what I've found in fancy salons downtown. The fade was clean, I didn't have to clean anything up (especially around my ears) when I got home - something I've had to do way too much in the past. Thank you Connie! I'll be back again soon.
Connie is quick and efficient and funny and a great joy. And she doesn't charge three arms and five legs for a haircut, unlike those fancy-schmancy boutique barber boyz everywhere else!
Great cut. Great price. Connie is super friendly and has a strong understanding of how to cut a variety of hair types - especially in my case of very straight, asian hair. I would even say comparable to the quality of places that charge more than double her price.
No frills place, walk-in and cash only. Make sure to tip well, she deserves it!
